Myka and the Millionaire Page 6
Myka was confused—she’d read that it was typical to stand back and never interrupt a scene, but these watchers were welcome by the bound woman and her domme—so maybe they were part of the scene? Maybe, when these two were together, some of their friends were okayed to join in? Myka bit her lip. Even if she wanted to come closer, and she wasn’t sure about that, she certainly hadn’t received prior approval.
The domme repeated the vibrator tease, and Myka backed up, straight into a hard body. “Excuse me,” she muttered.
But the hard body had other ideas. He grabbed her arms with powerful hands, not squeezing, but holding firmly. “New here?” he asked. “I can do that to you, if you want. I’d love to tie you down and tease your sweet pussy for hours. There’s another table.”
Startled, Myka pulled away. “Don’t touch me!” she said, her voice raised. “Club rules. No touching without permission.”
“It will be amazing,” the man said, showing all of his teeth in a wide smile. “I’m Master Marcus. You came here for a reason, right? Let me show you how fun this can be.”
His pupils were dilated and Myka wondered if he was high. She looked around for the dungeon monitor, but couldn’t spot anyone who looked helpful. “I don’t want to. Leave me alone.” Her words were firm.
“But I don’t want to leave you alone,” he cajoled, taking her arm again, this time harder. Myka panicked.
“No!” she screamed loudly, and stamped on his foot.
“Fuck,” he snapped, dropping her arm. The bound woman and her domme looked over, too, as did their friends, and Myka felt a strange mix of emotions—relief that she wasn’t alone, anger and fear at Marcus, disgust with herself for getting into the situation (even though it wasn’t her fault, right?), embarrassment at having interrupted someone’s scene, even inadvertently, and the overwhelming need to cry and get the hell out of there.
“Are you okay?” asked a tiny blonde with huge breasts, hurrying over, concern on her face. Myka barely noticed that the breasts were naked, with small silver rings shot through each nipple. The blonde called out, “Aaron! Where are you? Get over here. Now.”
Marcus rolled his eyes and gripped her arm again. “Don’t touch me!” shouted Myka, panic engulfing her. “I said no.” She pulled away and turned to the group. “He won’t leave me alone. Red!”
The blonde narrowed her eyes and put her hands on her hips. “Jesus, Marcus, let her the fuck go. Now.” Marcus dropped her arm with a glare.
“He wouldn’t stop!” Myka explained to the blonde, an awful feeling of guilt and shock welling up. Had she somehow invited his touch? Was it an unwritten rule that women here were for the taking?
The blonde patted her shoulder even as Myka started to edge backwards toward the exit. “I’m Lili,” she stated. “I’m a regular here. Please, don’t judge the whole place by Marcus.”
But Myka found that cold comfort, her heart still racing in panic, and with Marcus still standing there looking at her like she was dinner. As she started to walk faster to the door, an official-looking person rushed up wearing a black Polo shirt and a wireless mike, arresting her departure. “Lili, you called?” he barked.
Marcus gestured. “She’s playing hard to get.”
Myka stepped back. “No! I am not. I don’t even know him. I said red. Do I need to call 911?” She made her voice hard and strong, anger suddenly suffusing her. How dare this asshole act this way?
At her strong words, Marcus’ face blanched. “Forget it,” he started. “I guess I maybe misunderstood.” He threw up his hands and walked away, shoulders stiff.
The blonde scowled and crossed her arms. “Aaron. You need to handle this once and for all. Marcus is being an asshole… again. How many times do we have to complain about him before you guys finally—”
Suddenly a lethal voice beside her shot out, “This woman is with me, and nobody is to touch her. Understand?” It was Gabriel, his face furious. He put his arm around her, and it was like steel. His French accent was stronger than before.
“This is a travesty,” he continued, glaring at the retreating Marcus and the monitor. “How can you excuse this kind of behavior? That man should be banned. There should never be a need for a person to cry for help in a club. It’s grounds for a formal assault charge, do you understand? She was right to mention 911.”
With a nervous flinch, the monitor cleared his throat. “Marcus likes to bring his partners here to play rape fantasies and chase games. So I figured she was into it at first? But I heard her scream red, man. I’m on it.”
Gabriel made a sound of disgust. He turned to the blonde and the people gathered around. “This place has no respect for your personal safety. I’d recommend finding another place to play. And you?” He glared at Marcus, who was halfway across the room. “Stop and listen to me. If I hear about this kind of behavior again, I’m going to make it my personal goal to find you and make sure you never do it again. Do you understand me? You are going to leave now and you are not going to come back. Do it or you will be sorry.” He watched as Marcus jogged to the door and disappeared, then turned back to the monitor. “Where is the owner of the club?”
“He’s out of town,” mumbled the monitor. “He’s new. The assistant manager, is uh, I don’t know where he is. I guess I don’t have his cell phone. Nobody does. It’s kind of, you know, in a disarray right now, with the management transfer and all. But I was on it!”
Lili looked at Myka with big eyes. “Are you okay? Really, most of the people here are not like that—”
Gabriel put his hand on Myka’s arm. “Let’s go.” Myka followed obediently, trying to process what had happened, not even paying attention to where they were going, until she found herself buckled into the front seat of his expensive sports car. He was livid. “Myka. Je crois pas que tu y es allée! What the fuck possessed you to go there?”
Myka’s voice was small but defiant. “I was curious. I wanted to see.”
“I told you it was no place for you!”
“Yes, sure, through the window of a moving cab. Two seconds after you rejected me for being drunk. Please forgive me if I didn’t take you too seriously.” She was pissed. “And?” she added. “You have no right to judge me for what I want to see or try. Although, ah, I am glad you came when you did. Thank you.”
His voice softened. “I’m glad I arrived when I did, too. I think you would have managed to handle it yourself, but Myka. You have to be so careful if you’re looking for—” He ran one hand through his hair. “I’m not judging. I’m concerned for your safety.”
“So you don’t think I’m—weird? For wanting to visit a BDSM club? To see what they do?” He had admitted his own dark desires; his dominance. But a lot of people liked doing things in private, and were turned off or disinterested in public displays. Maybe he was one of them, as sophisticated and educated as he was? She felt anxious and sick to her stomach, unsure of his response.
“No,” he said evenly. “But you need a place with the right environment. People who will teach you with respect and dignity.”
Myka felt relief, but it warred with the need to defend herself. She raised her voice. “Well, excuse me for being human and making a mistake. Because you know what? If you Google BDSM clubs? You don’t find a whole lot of places that advertise their trust and love. It’s more about, you know, the kinky equipment and the entrance fees. How was I supposed to know?”
“How indeed?” he muttered.
“Where are we going, anyway?” Myka asked. “I assume it’s not to your place, because of my disgusting inebriation.” She shot him a look.
Gabriel let out a sigh. “Myka. I was trying to respect you. And waiting has advantages. Delayed gratification can be insanely intense.”
His words made her body flare, and she reddened. “I’m sorry. It was just—you embarrassed me. So—where are you taking me?”
Gabriel was silent, and a muscle in his jaw twitched. He declared, “I wasn’t going to do this yet, but it need
s to happen. You want to know what goes on in a BDSM club? I’m taking you to a place that does it right. Safe, consensual, sexy. You want it? I’ll give it to you.”
Myka’s heart raced. “How do you know where to find a good one, anyway?” she demanded.
Gabriel gave a short laugh. “Find it? I own it,” he replied. His hands were tight on the wheel, his knuckles clenched. Myka felt her knees go weak; good thing she was sitting down.
“You—own one? A BDSM club?” Her voice was high with surprise and disbelief.
He turned to meet her eyes before looking back to traffic. “That’s right.”
“And you—I mean, you’re into the things there?”
His voice held a repressed laugh. “I am indeed into the things there, Myka. I already told you as much.”
Myka bit her lip, her head spinning, trying to make sense of this new development. This was not just something he enjoyed, but a part of his entire lifestyle? She couldn’t wrap her mind around it.
“You’re quiet,” he observed. “What are you thinking?”
Myka looked at him sideways. “I’m—surprised. Overwhelmed. I don’t even know what to think.” She paused. “Is this going to be like the interview? If you hadn’t rescued me tonight, when were you going to tell me about your club? What other big secrets do you have?”
She was angry. But she was also pleased, because here was her perfect chance to try BDSM for real, with someone who could bring alive the fantasies in books that made her burn—someone who was an expert, a master of his craft. The best.
Still, she couldn’t tell if this was a good thing, or too much of a good thing. Although she was curious about dominance in the bedroom, never in her darkest fantasies had she imagined connecting with someone so intimately entwined with a D/s lifestyle, someone who owned a club. It might be far too much for her to handle.
He paused. “I would have told you soon. After I messed up with the interview, I simply wanted a chance for you to know me without that in the way. Without prejudging.”
Myka struggled with her next thought. “But the first time you asked me out. Were you planning to, I mean, are you vanilla sometimes?”
“Was I planning to make love to you? Yes. I can be vanilla at times, and I enjoy it.” Gabriel smiled, and Myka felt her face burn. “But now that you admitted you’re curious, and begged me to instruct you… my plans have changed. I don’t want vanilla with you, and I need you to see my entire world before you decide.” His voice was dark and alluring. “I can go slow, Myka. But you’ll need to accept this about me.”
Myka swallowed hard. “So when you said you hadn’t done this in a while?”
“I separated from my long-time sub—my submissive—six months ago,” he answered. “Is that what you mean? I’m not used to asking non-kinky women out on dates.” He smiled, shook his head to himself. “In fact, the last time I—dated—someone who wasn’t kinky, must have been early college years.”
Hands clenched in her lap, Myka was jealous of the unknown sub, relieved that it was over, and worried about his expectations. “Sub. How is that different from girlfriend? I mean, was she a servant to you, or something? Did you… love her?”
Gabriel’s voice was tense, even though his face was calm. “I did love her, but we didn’t work out. We did the same things most couples do: We laughed, had dinner, traveled. Fought. Made up. But in addition, she was my submissive. That means in bed I was the one in complete control, always. She had the right to use her safewords, but if she did not, she had to submit to my desires and my punishments. She also followed my command in many areas out of the bedroom.”
Myka’s stomach lurched at the words. “But that sounds so—wrong. So unequal.”
Gabriel shook his head. “She enjoyed letting me be the dominant partner, and I loved having her submission. This kind of relationship, when it’s done right? The submissive partner gives her submission anew, each day, makes sure it’s still what she wants. And both halves need to be willing to compromise if one or the other is no longer interested in certain parts of the relationship.”
Myka had to protest. “What if she wanted a night off? What if she had PMS? What if she had a cold? Was she a slave girl, doing whatever you want?”
Gabriel sighed. “She was never anyone’s slave,” he said, “nor would I want that. Of course people need nights off. She did, and I did. Weeks, even. Often we were just two people sharing a glass of wine or talking about work. She had a professional career. But in general, yes, she did what I wanted in bed and at the club, at our home, and she liked it that way. This kind of relationship can’t last if both people don’t enjoy it.”
A muscle in his jaw clenched, and Myka knew instantly that he still had strong feelings for his ex. A sick thrill of jealousy hummed through her body, even though she knew that everyone had a past, and a man like this would certainly have a spectacular ex. She didn’t want to let it bother her, but she couldn’t help wondering about the woman who had captured his heart and his mind and then, somehow, lost them both. It was fascinating and terrifying, because what did it mean for her own prospects?
Gabriel added, “What we are in the public world can be so vastly different from what we prefer in private.” His voice was low and seductive. “Are you curious to try it, Myka?”
Myka shook her head. “I want to look, Gabriel. Not to do anything in public.” But the truth was that she did want to try many things with him.
“So let me show you,” he said. “You can watch what it’s like between people who have a true, consensual power exchange. Are you brave enough? Will you let me start your education?”
Myka swallowed again, then nodded. “Yes,” she said firmly. “Take me.”
Chapter Four
Gabriel’s club was a large gated mansion down a private driveway, with ample parking behind the gate. Myka gasped as she saw the grounds lit with lanterns, full of trees and shrubbery.
“It’s so—pretty!” she exclaimed. “I didn’t expect it to look like a normal house. Castle. House?”
Gabriel laughed. “Surprised? Most people are, at first. Ready?”
Myka took a deep breath and raised her chin. “Yes, ready. Bring it on.”
Gabriel laughed again. “You look like a martyr being led to the pyre. I promise, it’s nothing like the last place.” He stopped, looked at her intently. “Myka. Look at my eyes.” Myka forced her eyes to his. They were warm, full of humor and light. He continued, “My club is safe, Myka. No one will ever touch you without your permission, including me. Is that clear?” His voice was firm.
“Yes.” Myka’s words came faster. “I was scared there, Gabriel. The other people seemed to be having, ah, fun? But I felt weird, and then that guy was so pushy. It freaked me out.”
Gabriel’s voice was icy. “People like Marcus are not welcome here, and it doesn’t seem like that club is responsible about safety. I’ll call the manager, but I don’t have high hopes for improvement. Until then, I’d avoid Club Dark Sin.”
“I don’t think I ever want to go there again,” admitted Myka.
Gabriel paused. “If you were mine, I’d forbid you to go there. And if you defied me, I’d punish you.” His eyes gleamed.
Myka’s mouth fell open. “You can’t forbid someone to do something.” She tried to forget about the way the word punish sent little spikes of desire coursing through her body.
“You can if she’s your sweet little sub, and the place you’ve forbidden her to go deals with the kind of sex you both enjoy,” he returned with a smile. “And if you’ve both agreed to punishments.”
Then he took both of her hands in his. “Before we go in, I want to tell you what will happen. You won’t do anything but look. You’re going to see subs, serving and obeying their dominants, yes? You’re going to see sex, spanking, bondage, and more. My club does not allow blood, fire, knives, breath play, excrement play, or anything illegal or nonconsensual. I don’t do that, and I don’t allow it in my club. But some th
ings you see may strike you as odd or disagreeable. I need you to understand that everything done here is done with consent, because people want it, need it, enjoy it. Do you understand me?”
“Yes.” Myka’s voice was clear. “I get it.”
“If you feel overwhelmed, tell me, and we can leave. Or you can say the safeword, which is red, if you need any kind of help. That word is always respected at the club, no matter what.”
“Even if I’m not participating?” Myka swallowed.
“At any time. For anyone.” Gabriel smiled. “You’re going to be overdressed, and I certainly won’t complain if you choose to de-garb yourself. But that’s up to you.” His eyes twinkled.
Myka widened her eyes. “I’m keeping my clothes on.” Then she added, “So in your club subs don’t have to kneel and stuff? I read that some private clubs… all the women have to kneel all the time, for any man who asks.”
“A woman here is never required to kneel to any person with whom she does not have such an agreement.” His voice held a smile.
“And I read in some books? Women must address all of the men as sir, or master? I won’t do that. That’s stupid. And in some places? They say that a dom in a private club can touch any woman he wants? I would never allow that either.”
He shook his head and smiled. “You’ll choose what name works to address each person with whom you interact. And there is no touching, let alone sharing, unless it’s a willing decision by all parties involved. We value confidentiality and privacy, and sign nondisclosure agreements. People are not invited to join unless they are referred by a member and pass the trial period.”
Myka made a silent ‘wow.’ “You sound progressive for a BDSM club.”
Gabriel burst into a loud laugh. “It’s a private club, Myka, and there’s no need for petty rules. We respect each other and the right to enjoy kink in a private, safe environment. It’s not going to be like what you read about in novels. It will be better.” He grinned, opened the door, and gestured. “Shall we?”
